Posted Wednesday February 12th, 2020 in the News category

Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam, in partnership with Flintshire County Council and Flint Town Council, have organised a St. David’s celebration in Flint town centre on Monday, March 2nd, 2020. This year the celebration will be in Church Street, with staging set in front of St Mary’s Church and will begin at 10am. There is a very warm welcome to all to join in the fun with Welsh themed performances from Band Cambria and local schools.

Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam’s Chief Officer, Gill Stephen, said,

“There is a warm welcome for people of all ages to join in the fun again this year, whether they are Welsh speakers or not. This extremely popular event is an opportunity for everyone in Flint to celebrate the Welsh identity of the town and we are looking forward again this year to seeing the shops decorated on a St David’s Day theme for the Window Dressing Competition.

The winners of the St. David’s window decorating competition will also be announced during the event and the winning businesses will receive an award and a prize.”

These celebrations are a part of numerous events that will take place across Wales to celebrate our Patron Saint’s Day, so use #DewiFflint on social media for information, to share photos, and to follow the event throughout the day.
