How do you volunteer?
I’ve been a Director for Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam for almost two years now, and during that time I’ve enjoyed being a part of various events and activities that they’ve organised to promote the Welsh language in the area. Personally, one of the highlights for me was taking part in the Saint David’s Day Parade in Wrexham.
Born and raised in Mynytho in the Llŷn Peninsula I suppose I took the Welsh language for granted. However, since moving to Coedpoeth I have come to realize you can’t take the language for granted. My wife and myself are trying to raise our two young boys in Welsh, so personally creating opportunities to promote the Welsh language is very important to me and this is why I appreciate the Mentrau Iaith work and so willing and proud to be able to help as much as possible.
