Fun for families at Camu ‘Mlaen
Wrexham’s RaceCourse, 1864 Suite was the place to be on Friday evening, 8th June, 2018 as Camu ‘Mlaen took place.
The evening of fun for families was organised by Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam, to launch the Welsh lessons for parents that will take place over the coming weeks by Coleg Cambria with a children’s club arranged by the Urdd for ages 5-11 at the same time.
Plenty of activities had been arranged for the evening with children of all ages enjoying themselves. There was face painting, balloon modelling, crafts, circus workshop, bow and arrow activity with the Urdd and activities for the little ones from Mudiad Meithrin and Cymraeg i Blant.
DJ Bustach was also present to entertain everyone with Welsh music and Synnwyr Cyffredin, a Welsh band gave an acoustic performance. The highlight of the evening was a visit from our special guests; Magi Ann, Dewin and Mr Urdd and everyone joined a singing session with them.
The 5 week of Welsh lessons for families taster course that was launched during the event are starting this week. The lesson will be a combination of formal lessons and an opportunity to chat and socialise informally over a cup of tea at the end of each lesson.
