The Window Dressing Competition has been a prominent part of the St. David’s Day celebrations in Wrexham town centre and Flintshire towns (Mold, Flint, Holywell, Connah’s Quay, Shotton) for a number of years.
The competition, organised by Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam on behalf of Wrexham County Borough Council and Flintshire County Council, encourages local businesses to decorate their windows on the theme of St. David’s Day with the aim of celebrating all things Welsh.
Unfortunately due to current circumstances it will not be possible to hold the competitions this year.
However, there will be an opportunity to look back and remember some of the best exhibitions of the past – which record the contribution of our small businesses to the character and economy of our local communities – during the week of March 1st-5th when a whole week of various virtual events to celebrate St David’s Day will be shown on Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam’s social media.
To join the celebrations, use #DewiSiryFflint or #DewiWrecsam and remember to follow the Welsh Government Covid-19 safety guidelines at all times.
