In partnership with Flintshire County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council and Tŷ Pawb, Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam have organised a whole week full of virtual celebrations to celebrate St. David’s Day 2021 between March 1st– 5th.
The celebrations might be a bit different but we hope that they will reflect the fact that although we are all apart this year we can still come together virtually to safely celebrate Wales’ Patron Saint this year. There’ll be something for everyone and, remembering to follow Welsh Government Covid-19 guidelines at all times, you can take part in various ways:
How to take part?
Parade
Send video clips of your family, friends, colleagues or society parading.
Pass the Flag
Send video clips of people passing the Welsh flag by catching it on their right hand side and throwing it to their left.
“Who was St. David?”
Send a video clip of you or a family member answering the question above. Keep your answers as short and sweet as possible.
Happy St. David’s Day
Send a video of yourselves wishing a “Happy St. David’s” Day in Welsh, English or in any other language that you may speak.
A virtual Eisteddfod will also be held during the week with a number of competitions for the community:
