{"id":14314,"date":"2024-02-06T09:10:36","date_gmt":"2024-02-06T09:10:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/menterfflintwrecsam.cymru\/flintshire-st-davids-day-celebrations\/"},"modified":"2024-02-06T11:32:59","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T11:32:59","slug":"flintshire-st-davids-day-celebrations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/menterfflintwrecsam.cymru\/en\/flintshire-st-davids-day-celebrations\/","title":{"rendered":"Flintshire St David&#8217;s Day Celebrations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table aligncenter\"><table><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><p>Flintshire&#8217;s St David&#8217;s Day celebrations have been established as one of the highlights of the year for some time with Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam looking forward to hosting a programme of events across the county that will bridge both communities and generations.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>This year local schools will be performing in several towns between 10 and 11am:<\/p>&#13;\n<ul>&#13;\n<li>Buckley on Monday February 26<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>&#13;\n<li>Mold on Wednesday 28<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>&#13;\n<li>and Holywell on Thursday 29th.<\/li>&#13;\n<\/ul>&#13;\n<p>We warmly invite you to join the crowd and enjoy the entertainment.<\/p>&#13;\n<p><br\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14274\" style=\"width: 150px;\" src=\"https:\/\/menterfflintwrecsam.cymru\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/DGD-Posteri-Sir-Y-Fflint-2024-2.png\" alt=\"\"\/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14244\" style=\"width: 150px;\" src=\"https:\/\/menterfflintwrecsam.cymru\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/3-1.png\" alt=\"\"\/> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14248\" style=\"width: 150px;\" src=\"https:\/\/menterfflintwrecsam.cymru\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/4-1.png\" alt=\"\"\/><br\/><br\/><\/p>&#13;\n<p>Pupils will also visit care facilities in Flint and Shotton to share the celebrations and fun with residents, which will be a valuable opportunity for people of all ages to learn together and from each other.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>The window dressing competition also returns with 6 Flintshire towns committed to competing, so have a wonder during the week to see the colourful displays along the county&#8217;s high streets.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>Cllr Ian Roberts, Leader Flintshire County Council said:\u00a0<\/p>&#13;\n<p><em>\u201cWe are absolutely delighted to be working with Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam once again to celebrate St David\u2019s Day.\u00a0 They have put together this varied programme and provide something for everyone.<\/em><\/p>&#13;\n<p><em>We are extremely proud of our heritage and celebrating our Welsh culture on this day is a very special occasion in Flintshire. Dydd G\u0175yl Dewi is for everyone who loves Wales whatever their background and whether they come from Wales or not.
