The St David’s Day parade is considered one of the highlights of the year in Wrexham and 2023 will be no exception as Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam, in partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council, have once again organised exciting celebrations on Wednesday, March 1st 2023.
This year there will be entertainment from various artists outside The Guildhall to welcome the crowds from 12:00pm onwards and the parade will assemble at 12.45pm before starting at 1.00pm (sharp!) under the leadership of Band Cambria.
The parade will make its way through the town ending back at Queen’s Square where everyone will sing the National Anthem and Calon Lân together, led by Andy Hickie.
We warmly invite individuals and organisations, including all the schools, from across the county to join in the fun and to once again bring their colourful banners.
The Mayor Cllr. Brian Cameron said:
“Wrexham’s St David’s Day parade has always been a well-attended, loud and colourful celebration of Welsh culture, and I’m sure that this year will be no exception”

These celebrations are a part of numerous events that will take place across Wales to celebrate our Patron Saint’s Day, so use #DewiWrecsam on social media for information, to share photos, and to follow the event throughout the day.
